A new stereo amplifier introduced to the global market from the famous electronics company of India, Norge, and the amplifier is named as the Reference 2000 Stereo Amplifier. The amplifier is quite an affordable mid-range product and the company has included a number of useful features in it.

About the design and the features of the new amplifier, the product has a metallic chassis and also a large front panel to make up the outer surface of the amplifier. The two colours available for the amplifier are gray and black. The amplifier has a huge volume knob that is positioned a little off-center in the front panel. On the left side, there are three other smaller knobs for the functions like bass, treble and balance. There is also an iPod input selector switch in the new Reference 2000 Stereo Amplifier of Norge and there are two more analog-style push buttons in it so that the users can select the DVD and aux inputs.
The top right bears the logo and the model name, while the left extremity exposes a phone input for headphones, typical of stereo-integrated amps. The Power switch placed below this is similar to the input selectors as far as physical dimensions go, giving the amp a uniform and modest look.

New Reference 2000 Stereo Amplifier Launched By Norge Among the other features of the amplifier, there is a phone input for the headphones on the left side. The Power switch of the device is positioned at the lower part and it has some similarities to the input selectors as far as physical dimensions are concerned. This also gives the amplifier a nice, standardized and decent look. So, the music lovers will be happy to have this new stereo amplifier in their music desk.

This means 5 speakers and a subwoofer. The ‘1’ stands for the number of subwoofers, so you can even have a 7.2 system which would mean seven speakers and 2 subwoofers. There are more formats doing the rounds, like 6.1 and 7.1, though frankly they are not of much use as very few DVDs have their audio encoded more than 5.1.

There are two major companies producing surround sound formats, Dolby and DTS. This format is stored on the DVD along with the video, and is sent to your AV receiver. The decoder inside your AV receiver reads the file and sends five separate audio streams to the five speakers, plus one special stream to the subwoofer.
Projectors are the other side of the coin in the display section of your home theater. Prices can vary widely, but there are mainly two types, viz. DLP and LCD. DLP is considered to have more saturation and contrast. Projectors come with a burden of something known as ‘lamp life’, which means the lamp is going to go off, maybe sooner than you think if you don’t maintain your projector. Another thing is you need to be in a dark room for most of the models.

Conclusion:-
The main goal of setting up a home theater is to achieve a comfortable position first, and then the quality and performance of your equipment must be top notch, harmoniously syncing with each other. It’s like a team performing together; any mismatch or bad link in the chain will screw up your sound.
The main goal of projector is that, it’s the ultimate style of viewing, as the screen size can be larger than your wildest expectations. If set correctly, the image quality is brilliant too.

The YSP-900 and YSP-1100 have been designed to complement 32” and 42” TV’s, plasma or LCD and to deliver three-dimensional audio tailored to the user’s individual room acoustics without the customary ‘fairy ring’ of amps, cables and speakers. This is achieved by an on-board digital amplifier driving multiple ‘sound beams’ , which are automatically calibrated during the automated setup procedure. This measures room environment and will focus the multichannel audio and create true 5.1 Surround Sound.

Yamaha is set to roll with their new YSP-1100 Digital Sound Projector unveiled at CEDIA. Like the YSP-1000 it replaces, the YSP-1100 is said to do a decent job of creating the illusion of surround-sound by bouncing sound off the walls via 40 built-in beam drivers and 2 built-in woofers with 42 corresponding digital amplifiers. However, the YSP-1100 brings a larger sweet-spot than its predecessor, an RS-232 port, IR in/out, component-video in/out, and an improved version of Yamaha’s IntelliBeam automated system calibration to adjust the sound for best effect.

Both new models feature multi-language onscreen displays and a large range of listening positions thanks to a wide soundstage. Also available are two volume modes; ‘Night Listening Enhancer’, which ensures that optimum clarity is maintained when listening at low level, and ‘TV Equal Volume’, to suppress sudden audio peaks and obtrusive TV advertising.

The YSP-1100 has an extensive range of audio and video inputs and outputs, allowing it to function as the hub of any home entertainment system. Both models feature Yamaha’s CINEMA DSP technology, capable of creating realistic sound effects in any room. Featuring easy installation and setup, and 3-D sonic performance from a single source, Yamaha’s YSP range is set to raise the surround sound standards.

Available in silver or black finishes with optional wall mount bracket, the YSP-900 and YSP-1100 cost £599 and £899 respectively.

It’s tough to find AV stuff without ‘1080p‘ emblazoned on it in some way. The Samsung HT-TXQ120R is no different. This 5.1 surround-sound system proudly proclaims ‘1080p upscaling’ across the front of the main unit.

The inputs are located on the right hand side of the main DVD unit. The main unit is finished in piano black, no surprise there, really, and has a large, blue LED-based display. This does mean that in a darkened room, the system can prove distracting.

In terms of connectivity, the main unit has two digital audio inputs, both of which are optical, plus one HDMI input and one HDMI out. The inclusion of extra digital audio inputs is a good move, and it means you can hook your games console and other gear up easily.

In total, getting everything unboxed and plugged in took about 45 minutes. If you’re using the speaker stands,it’s possible to wall-mount the speakers if you choose, you’ll need to screw the stands together. The same goes for the main unit.

The remote control is confusingly similar to the one you get with Samsung TVs,we were testing this unit with its new 50-inch plasma, so a few times we picked up the wrong remote control. The good news is the DVD remote can also control a TV, which means you can probably just hide your other controller away.

This year the ground is broken, so the VSX-AX5Ai-S represents more of a tweak than a transformation.
The VSX-AX5Ai-S retains the Dolby Digital EX, Pro-Logic IIx, DTS ES Matrix and Discrete 6.1, DTS Neo:6, DTS 96/24, THX Select modes and AIR Studios sound tuning of its predecessor.

Enhancements to the MCACC system do not constitute a significant improvement, but they do seem to make subwoofer installation more accurate, and the amp equalises the output to replicate the AIR Studios sound in your room. Pioneer was the first to release a corded microphone automated installation process and - with these mild upgrades in place - it remains the best.

The MCACC system had a profound change over the sound of the speakers we tested with the Pioneer. It enforces a distinct equalisation curve, attempting to bring the speakers into line with the AIR Studios sound.
Ultimately this all means that the VSX-AX5Ai-S provides an extremely cinematic sound, both enveloping and seemingly larger than the room itself.

It’s a measure of how good the original AX5i was that, with just mild tweaks, the VSX-AX5Ai-S can continue Pioneer’s good work and remain at the forefront of home cinema sound.
