XBox Live Into Its Fifth Successfull Year
Microsoft will be celebrating the fifth anniversary of Xbox LIVE and on the heels of that milestone, the company notes that the latest membership figures show more than 8 million members. Xbox LIVE has grown from a small community of gamers in two countries playing a handful of games online with their friends, to a worldwide social entertainment network offering online access to gaming, music, movies and TV shows.
As a gesture of thanks to the gaming community, all 8 million members will have the opportunity to download a free Xbox LIVE Arcade game, available for downloading between 12:01 a.m. PST on Nov. 15 and 11:59 p.m. PST on Nov. 16. In addition to this, every active member who joined the service in 2002 will receive 500 free Microsoft Points.
Microsoft also announced that starting on Dec. 4, all Xbox LIVE members will receive a free system update with a host of new features and enhancements. Included in this update will be the launch of Xbox Originals, which, for the first time, will enable consumers to download and own full Xbox games, such as “Halo,” “Psychonauts,” “Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge” and “Fable,” among others, directly to their Xbox 360. This new service will launch with an array of blockbuster titles spanning the most popular genres from action-adventure to classic role-playing games.
With no disc necessary, and at just 1,200 Microsoft Points per game, Xbox LIVE members can easily rediscover these hit titles, or check out a game they missed the first time around. This launch lineup is only the beginning, as Xbox 360 owners can expect to see a growing catalog of Xbox games to download and own over the coming year.
NCAA Football 08 Demo Available On Xbox Live
Xbox 360 owners can now download a new demo of Electronic Arts’ sports game NCAA Football 08 via Xbox Live.Microsoft and ESPN have announced intent to pump complete college basketball, football, and other ESPN programming to Xbox Live customers.
Commercial-free, standard-definition NCAA games will be available for 3 bucks a pop or $4.50 for “high-definition” versions other content will be priced as low as $2.The Only thing is,they are not available until 48-hours after the game is over.
Microsoft Launches XBox Live In India
After many hardships, disappointments and delays, Microsoft India is all set to dole out the Xbox Live officially on the fifth of November, in time for Diwali.
Indian users can now log into Xbox LIVE not just to game but also to get their daily dose of entertainment with exclusive Indian content! Trailers of Hanuman Returns and content from the UTV stable of films will be on Xbox LIVE. Also available will be content related to Love Story 2050 starring Priyanka Chopra and Harman Baweja – one of the most awaited movies of the year!
Microsoft has also tied up with Seventymm – a leading name in the movie rentals category for the unique rent-a-game service; ;a first-of-its-kind initiative which will enable gamers to rent “on demand” the latest Xbox 360 games for a fixed number of days.
The Xbox LIVE service will be available to users to log on and sample for free with the Silver subscription level and a paid Gold membership to offer the best in gaming and entertainment to consumers who want a heightened entertainment experience. On the occasion of the launch of Xbox LIVE, Microsoft also announces a number of new trendy accessories to complete the entertainment experience – Xbox Live Vision camera, Xbox 360 Wireless and Wired Headset, Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter, and Xbox 360 Text input device to name a few!
While all this sounds pretty cool, we’re still in the dark as far as prices are concerned. But we’re hoping to get that sorted out soon, so stay tuned for more information.

Gears of War Goes Gold Review
With the Xbox 360 version of the game selling more than 4 million copies to date, “Gears of War” has been lauded by critics for its gripping campaign and fast-paced multiplayer action. Windows gamers can look forward to the “Gears of War” experience for the very first time, and will get to choose between doing battle via mouse and keyboard, or using the Windows-enabled Xbox 360 controller. From renowned developer Epic Games, “Gears of War” for Windows will engage gamers in hyper-realistic combat, allowing players to fight for survival against the Locust Horde, a nightmarish race of creatures that surface from the bowels of the planet.
In its PC form, Gears has several additional goodies for gamers five new singleplayer chapters, a new Annex multiplayer game mode, three new multiplayer maps, and a game editor. You also get to throw down with the Brumak, that big scary thing you never actually got to fight in the 360 version.
Now even if you’ve played through this game on the Xbox 360, you may want to check out the PC version since it brings a couple of new things to the table such as a new boss fight (Brumak), newer levels, newer achievements, a new MP mode, and complete access to the game’s level editor.
The entirety of Xbox 360 downloadable content will be included on the disc as well, and the package will retail for $49.99. The title will hit retail stores November 6.

Dead Space
It seems as Electronics Arts are done working with mobsters, hobbits, elves, and the Sims, EA’s Redwood Shores studio have turned their sights on to something which is a lot more Blackhearted and Dark.
Not at all an another sims game,It’s a brand new IP(Intellectual Property) called Dead Space. 
With the happeneings taking place in the cold blackness of deep space, the atmosphere is drenched with a feeling of tension, dread and sheer terror. In Dead Space, players step into the role of engineer Isaac Clarke – an ordinary man on a seemingly routine mission to fix the communications systems aboard a deep space mining ship. It is not long before Isaac awakes to a living phantasm when he learns that the ship’s crew has been ravaged by a vicious alien infestation.Now he must fight his way through the never ending silence and darkness for his survival….
For the time being EA is really tight-lipped about the game, but one could log on to the game’s official site for some hot forum action.
UbiSoft Brings Out Its Surprises Towards The End
UbiSoft announced its 2007 end lineup of games. The company told that Assassin’s Creed will ship for the Xbox 360 and the PLAYSTATION 3 in November, and to PC in early 2008; Beowulf will be released in November on Xbox 360, the PLAYSTATION 3 and PSP; Blazing Angels 2 Secret Missions of WWII – Currently available on Xbox 360 and will be available on the PLAYSTATION 3 this holiday; Brothers In Arms Hell’s Highway will be released for holiday 2007 will be released on next-generation platforms and PC in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2007-08; Brothers in Arms Road to Hill 30 for Wii will be released in December; CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION Hard Evidence for the Xbox 360
and the Wii will be released this holiday;
Heroes of Might and Magic V: Tribes of the East for PC will be released this holiday; Nitrobike for the Wii will be released this holiday; NARUTO: Rise of a Ninja for Xbox 360 will hit retail in October; and Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 for Wii and Nintendo DS will be released this holiday.

All Tunes Unveiled For EA’s NFS
Electronic Arts in a major announcement said that the complete soundtrack for Need for Speed ProStreet, which is set for North American release November 14th on the Xbox 360, PLAYSTATION 3 and Wii as well as the PlayStation 2, Nintendo DS, PC and mobile.
The soundtrack features over 35 songs from artists representing a range of styles, along with an original score by internationally renowned DJ/Producer/Musician Junkie XL that captures the skill, risk and velocity of pro street racing culture.
