Samsung F490 and Samsung P720 Smartphones Review
Samsung officially presented two of its latest mobiles. Announced about two weeks ago.The Samsung F490 and the Samsung P720. The Samsung F490 is a full touch-based handset with a large TFT display, while the samsung P720 will be the second dual-SIM handset.
Samsung F490 works on tri band (900/1800/1900) GSM networks, this Samsung cellphone support HSDPA connectivity to offer 3.6Mbps data transfer. Measures at 115 x53.5 x11.8 mm, F490 weighs at 102 grams. Comes with a large 3.2-inch touchscreen with 262K colors, Samsung F490 boasts a 5MP camera but unfortunately only records video in QVGA at 15 fps.Its internal memory is 130MB and there are a microSD slot to add more memory. Other features including 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth 2.0 A2DP, USB 2.0 and built-in mobile Google applications.
The Samsung P720 is somewhat based on the Samsung Armani model, however it will offer Dual-SIM functionality. The handset will have a QVGA touch sensitive display and a 3 megapixel fixed focus camera – much the same as the original Samsung P520 Armani. The Samsung P720 will be targeted at the Eastern Europe and Asian markets.
2008 is the year that marks the movement to the 5 MP standard, so all major players on the mobile phones market will have to include at least a 5 MP camera to keep up the pace. Samsung F490 follows the same standard and embeds a 5 MP camera. our expectation are high considering that the device will come around 600 $.
