Review: Canon Vixia HF100
Canon’s first flash-based camcorders, the high-definition Vixia HF100,delivers excellent HD video quality and performance along with its compact, attractive, and comfortable design. With the Canon Vixia HF100 flash memory is making its way into High Definition with Canon’s Vixia line of camcorders. The HF100 is a sleek, matte-gray compact flash-based camcorder which includes a loads of features and can capture full resolution HD video in either 24p Cinema mode or 30p progressive.
The HF100 is a very user friendly camcorder in Canon’s Vixia series, which can record AVCHD video at a maximum of 17 megabits per second and supports the full 1,920×1,080 capture.The HF100 optically stabilized f1.8-3.0 12X zoom with the help of Canon’s new patentet Instant AutoFocus and SuperRange Optical Image Stabilizer. The HF100 can also captures HD vedios directly by a Secure Digital HC flash memory card, with it’s HD CMOS Image Sensor, which works in concert with a DIGIC DV II Image Processor for superior color and clarity.
The Canon Vixia HF100 offers you with aperture- and shutter-priority exposure modes, three fixed/one variable zoom speed options, a video light, Instant AF, and a wind-screen filter for video shooting and for still photos, metering, flash, and burst and exposure bracketing options. The HF100 camcorder also includes mini-HDMI, mini headphone, mic jacks, and USB potrs for supporting its connectivity with computer and television. Inspite of all the wind filter is not as dependable as previous Canon models.
