THQ Brings New Handheld Sensation Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command

THQ today announced Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command has shipped to retail outlets worldwide for the PSP, marking the debut of Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 franchise on the handheld gaming system. Delivering a cinematic and strategic turn-based single-player campaign and a dynamic global multiplayer element, Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command is also scheduled to be made available to Nintendo DS.  The  PSP demo  Download is also  available.

Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command marks the first time the brutal, war-ravaged worlds of Games Workshop’s Warhammer 40,000 universe will be playable on either the Nintendo DS or the PSP. Warhammer 40,000: Squad Command features action-based combat and turn-based strategy through a single-player storyline. Gamers play as the elite Space Marines of the Ultramarines chapter and strive to combat the encroaching evil of the daemonic forces of Chaos Space Marines through 15 cinematically-tied missions.

The game also promises a robust multiplayer mode featuring nine unique missions, where gamers can team up to go head-to-head with other players worldwide as either the Imperium of Man or Chaos Space Marines.
